McCall with Matt Millington

Ever have so much fun that you thought about it for days and days afterward? Me too. We recently spent a few days with some pretty wonderful people. I am still thinking about it!

The Millington's invited us to spend a few days at their cabin with them in McCall. Boating, tubing, hiking, playing cards, watching "24" into the wee hours, hot tubbing, fishing, shopping, roasting marshmellows, and laughing till it hurts, all helped make three pretty unforgettable days!

After I talked myself into it... I had to talk Gayla into it... but it wasn't too difficult... and it was FUNNER than FUN!

Thank you Millington family!

Oh - wanna see my favorite part of their awesome cabin? Check out what's hiding inside the coffee table!

Not too shabby, eh?

By the way ... I promised I would put MATT MILLINGTON'S name on the post so he would come up on a Google search. I hope with it being in the title of the post, it works for ya! You are one cool kid, MATT MILLINGTON. (Have you downloaded Scorpions "Rockers and Ballads" yet?)

15 YEARS!

When life gave us these...

We managed to make lemonade. (even if we had to search and search for the sugar)

And when we came to roads like this...

Together, we made it through.

And when they told us we were this...

Well, perhaps we were!!

But I wouldn't change a thing.

Because even with all the lemons, bumps, and craziness....

It really does just get better.

In highschool, our initials made us "the CSTM" -

And this system just doesn't break.

Love you Schultzy.

More than ever.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Chip's New "Thing"

I am excited to share with you Chip's new hobby! He has always loved to write and tell stories, so he came up with a perfect idea of putting them together in his new blog. The kids and I will really treasure it as he writes more and more, and I hope you enjoy it too!

My Favorite Holiday (for now)

Every year when the fourth of July comes around, it once again becomes my favorite holiday. For some reason I ask myself how can that be when there's Christmas. But there's just something about the feeling that comes with the events of the day I can't quite put my finger on. With the combination of the pancake breakfast, patriotism in the air, good food, water fun in the heat, people you love, fireworks, and red, white and blue everywhere you look, it sure makes for an awesome day! I might change my tune in December, but for now, I believe Independence Day is my favorite holiday!

Happy Birthday Land of the Free!

"This is My Dad's Favorite Song"

Some people have been asking me to put a video on the blog of Taylor playing the violin. I haven't taken the time to record something recently, but I was going through our files and found this one from a long time ago. Chip had asked her to learn this song since it is his favorite hymn. She disappeared in her room for about 25 minutes, called us in, and this is what we heard...

It just happens to be Uncle Fo'ou's favorite too, so every once in a while, on Sundays especially, Taylor is asked to play this beautiful song.

What a joy it is to learn of our children's talents. Taylor has found music to be one of hers. We are proud of her. It is wonderful that she loves to practice! I like to secretly crack her door open so I can listen. :)
