Goodbye Dasher

Seeing your children hurt is more painful than anything personal one can possibly go through. This past weekend, I experienced that first hand. Five years ago, our children had the most memorable Christmas so far, when they were suprised with a pet tortoise - our first family pet. This past Saturday, Dasher died. I just couldn't keep it together while burying him in the backyard, Hannah picked up a dandelion - blew it till it was all gone, and wished that Dasher would come back to life! All three girls were absolutely heartbroken while it didn't even seem to phase Jackson! Taylor scolded him for jumping on his "grave" to which Jackson replied out of breath, "What? He can't feel it! He's dead!" Chip and I did all we could to hold back bursts of laughter while comforting sobbing girls. That was Saturday. Sunday morning, the plans were already being made for a pet hamster. Not if I can help it....

Typical Tuesday nights

This is how the girls spend their Tuesday evenings - voting for Jordin Sparks!
Meanwhile, Jackson chucks whiffle balls on the roof!

Tee-Ball!

Our very first experience with T-Ball....

We are all having so much fun!

Have you ever seen a cuter catcher in your life?!

Such focus........such concentration!

But I think Dad is having the most fun of all.

Beware of Leonardo!

So, the next time your son asks you to be a "Ninja Turtle", all you need are green sweats, a big tupperware lid, a belt to hold it on, and a tie from a robe creatively placed on the face. Whew!

I love those rare "I'm a good mom" moments!

I'm an official blogger!

Can it really be this easy?! All you bloggers were having way too much fun without me, so I decided to join in on the action. I thought I'd never figure it out, but just minutes later, here's my very first post! I'm excited! This is a recent picture of the kiddos. Taylor, 12 Aubrey, 10 Hannah, 7 and Jack 5.

Chip got a great picture of the kids while the sun was setting. It shows their personalites so well!
